To say someone writes like an angel is usually hyperbole, but in this case it's true--sort of.

Ellen McLaughlin is not only an honored playwright and teacher at Barnard College, she is also an actor. She was in fact the original Angel in the Broadway production of Angels in America by Tony Kushner. (That's her.)

Their artistic collaboration continued--Kushner directed the premiere of this play, Helen, at the Public Theatre in New York.
