HELEN: "A Thought-Provoking Beauty"

From the Eureka Times-Standard Northern Lights review by Betti Trauth:

"Directed by Margaret Kelso, the HSU production succeeds on all artistic levels to meet the challenges of McLaughlin's complex script.

The acting ensemble is outstanding, with Darcy Daughtry's title role anchoring the cast with her playful, sensual strength. Missy Hopper's slightly ditzy Io adds some deceptive lightness to the proceedings; and Leslie Ostrum's mysterious Servant is both unsettling and wise.

Johanna Hembry makes a stunning, intimidating Athena; and Erik Rhea takes command of the stage from the moment he enters, giving a mesmerizing performance of amazing depth and nuance.

The technical aspects of the show are equally impressive. HSU's "Helen" is a don't miss production with just three more performances... "
